First Aid For Bruises

Bruising is common and injuries experienced by someone . This occurs because some things like a fall or a blow to the body that causes a few ruptured blood vessels beneath the skin 's surface . Discoloration and swelling of the skin occurs due to seepage of blood into the tissues .
According to Stanley M. Zildo as quoted from his book ' First Aid , First Aid and How to Correct Handling of Emergency ' , is bruising symptoms affected area feels sore , reddened skin and change color to blue or green , sometimes arising swelling or lumps .
Bruising can usually be cured by itself . Even so , some things need to be done in order to heal bruises faster , namely :
1 . Compressed immediately with cold water or ice to the bruised area to reduce bleeding and swelling .
2 . If bruising occurs in the arms or legs , lift the section with a higher position than the heart to decrease local blood flow .
3 . After 24 hours , use warm compresses to help the healing of wounds . Warm kompresan will open the blood vessels thus improving blood circulation in the area .
4 . When bruising or swelling worsens the pain was unbearable , immediately brought to the hospital due to possible broken bones or other injuries .
