Cinnamon Able to Fight Parkinson's Disease

Parkinson's is a disease that attacks the brain's health that can automatically lower the motor skills.

It sounds horrible, but it turns out this disease can be prevented by simple means.

A study reported by indiatimes.com found that cinnamon can prevent and slow the progression of the disease in people with Parkinson's.

"Cinnamon has long been used as a spice that is not only able to give a distinctive flavor and aroma to the dish, but also can be a herbal remedy. One is to treat Parkinson's disease, "said Kalipada Abundance, a professor of neurology at Rush University in Illinois.

This is because, he added, cinnamon can restore the irregularities that occurred in biomechanics, cell and anatomy of the human brain that causes Parkinson's.

In addition, this study also found that cinnamon will trigger the liver to produce sodium benzoate in the body which then enters the brain and is able to replace protein loss due to this disease. So it will be protected brain neurons and improve motor function. The conditions which led to the development of Parkinson's disease will be weakened. (India Times)
